Following graduation from law school, Grant spent one year clerking for the Honorable Robert Selander at Clackamas County Circuit Court and one year in Portland working as an associate for a mid-sized general practice law firm in its civil litigation section.
Grant now makes his home in Salem where he is a member of the Willamette Valley Inns of Court and the Marion County Bar Association.
